Define `tailwindcss` version in `peerDependencies`

Is there any reason why the `tailwindcss` version is not demonstrate in `peerDependencies` of `package.json` file? It would be great to understand which version of **Tailwind Merge** works with the respective version of **Tailwind CSS**.

I struggled a bit to understand that when upgrading the dependencies of my project.
