Frontend returns a blank page

After building from source, with apparently no errors, when loading the frontend, it returns a blank page. In the browser console I see the following error:
"2.0c7db268.chunk.js:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token '<' (at 2.0c7db268.chunk.js:1:1)

Any ideas?
