3060 not recognized.

Been trying for a while to get this to work with my GPU. I read through the GPU-ISUES page and noticed my CUDA version is at 12.9 and in local installation heading it only goes up to 12.8. I did the 12.8 anyway and then realized the link ends in 128 so I swapped for 129 and it has requirements already satisfied.

I tried running again and got the following:

Is there anything else I should be trying? Im not excellent at computers, but Im doing my best.

I know things like PyTorch don't yet have support for CUDA 12.9 yet, I have the same problem and am playing the waiting game

With enough messing around (and a little chatgpt) I was able to get GPU support working. Here is what I did:

• Uninstall CUDA 12.9 Toolkit
• Install CUDA 12.8 Toolkit
• Ran this inside the venv: .\python_env\python.exe -c "import torch; print(torch.__version__); print(torch.version.cuda); print(torch.cuda.is_available())"

That returned 2.7.1+CPU and not "+Cuda"

• .\python_env\python.exe -m pip uninstall -y torch torchvision torchaudio
• .\python_env\python.exe -m pip install --no-cache-dir --pre torch torchvision torchaudio --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/nightly/cu128
• .\python_env\python.exe -c "import torch; print(torch.__version__); print(torch.version.cuda); print(torch.cuda.is_available())"

Now shows 2.7.x+CUDA

Ran it and now its working with the GPU
