I am quite annoyed with how GitHub is dealing with my account.

Hi everyone,

I am writing this to tell you what a total mess GitHub is doing to me.

I am a student and researcher. From my homepage you can see some of my works and papers related to me.

I am just doing nothing when suddenly one day GtiHub dropped my Pro features for simply no reason. I opened a ticket on the topic Account and paymend and another under GitHub Education, but the later was CLOSED WITH NO REASON OR REPLY AT ALL. The former was still open but no one answered to it at all. I wish to add additional information but I CANNOT REPLY TO MY WON TICKET. NOR CAN I OPEN NEW TICKETS TO REPORT THIS ONE. On some certain pages which I cannot remember, some error says that I am facing some so-called OUTSTANDING ISSUES. I have no idea what was that and now I am unable to use any pro features.

If anyone has ever seen my repositories, I rely a lot on Actions, thus I cannot continue my workflow at all to avoid overuse the rates. I have disabled many workflows and even deleted repositories or forks to avoid consuming the limited rates.

I am still undergraduate and cannot really afford a GitHub Pro payment, and I really think I SHOULD NOT Pay that as I am eligible for free usage.

Totally disappointed by GitHub for these issues. I have no choice but to open a complaint post here as I cannot open new tickets or do anything to, probably been seen by GitHub fellows.

Anyway, I just want the issue be dealt with. Thanks if anyone can tell me what to do.

I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this. You may still qualify for GitHub Education / student benefits
double-check your verification and eligibility. Try submitting a fresh support request via the official GitHub Support portal (including your existing ticket IDs and details), and ask explicitly for escalation. If needed, mention your case politely on social media (tagging GitHub) to increase visibility. Document everything and stay persistent.
